Using the MetaCommunications Server Configurator

The MetaCommunicatios Server Configurator provides administrators with an intuitive, easy to locate tool for performing common administrative tasks against the database. The Server Configurator contains the following functionality:

  • Entering new licenses
  • Creating new databases
  • Changing the database family from one type to another (eg. Change a Virtual Ticket database to a Virtual Ticket and Digital Storage Manager Database)
  • Upgrade databases to the latest version
  • Configuring InterSync for use with a specific database

The Server Configurator is installed into the MetaCommunications Program menu on the Application Server.

NOTE: Launching the MetaCommunications Server Configurator will stop the MetaCommunications Application Server Service and any relevant InterSync services on the computer where it is launched.
