Identifying Empty Fields with MetaScript

In some situations it may be necessary to identify fields that have been left empty. The most common scenario would be to exclude a field from a calculation if it does not have a value. Two MetaScript functions have been created (one for character fields; one for integer fields) which can detect if a field has been left blank, contains a null value, or contains a space.

These functions return a true or false value.
